Hey guys!
I shot ‘The Best Player’ – an upcoming Nickelodeon channel movie – for a month up in Vancouver, Canada! It was definitely one of the highlights of 2009 for me. The crew was amazing, the locations were beautiful, and the whole process was a thrill. Of course, I can’t forget about my terrific castmates. Here’s a little bit about three of them:
- Jerry Trainor is a huge talent, plus his kindness, sincerity, and uniqueness make him a definite one-of-a-kind. After working with him for 3 years already, ‘The Best Player’ was a wonderful environment and new place that allowed me to really get to know him better – which was an awesome thing. I’ve never been a bigger fan of Jerry’s than I was after working with him on this movie.
- Amir Talai, who plays the hilarious ‘Wendell’, was simply the best. He has a very strong presence in a room, makes everyone around him feel comfortable, and has this undeniable likability about him. Plus, his talent is massive. Go Amir!
- Janet Varney, who plays Tracy Saunders (my character’s mother), is so beautiful, inside and out. She’s such a bright, lovely, charming person!
During shooting of ‘The Best Player’, I made a one day trip to Nashville to attend the CMA awards! Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood were fabulous hosts. Each performer was a knock-out. I was so elated for my labelmates, Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker, when they won for Best Vocal Group and Best New Artist! After the awards, I attended the Capitol Records Nashville after-party! I got to say hi and catch up with my Capitol ‘family’.
After the quick CMA trip, I went to LA for a day of meetings, then went straight back to Canada to resume and complete shooting for ‘The Best Player’.
Once I finished the movie, I came back to LA and shot promoshoots for Nickelodeon for a couple of days. I met some cool cast-members from some of the new shows. It was a fun two days of everything orange.

The day after the promoshoots, I went straight into shooting a feature film I’m very excited about. I have a great character. My look is a complete transformation – many thanks to the awesome hair, makeup, and wardrobe departments. I can’t say much about it for now, but I can say that it’s a very cool, unique project I think you all will enjoy.
I’m still working on the feature, and next week I head to work on a new episode of True Jackson VP! To be guest starring again is a real honor! I can’t wait to see the cast and crew – they’re just splendid. The script is too funny!
Once I finish TJVP, I’ll continue working on the feature film, and I’ll be going to Nashville for a few days more. I’ll have lots of meetings with Capitol and my producer to discuss the album and tie up any loose ends before the cutting of the record begins.
I think I put you all up to speed with everything that’s been going on lately. Thanks for always being supportive and loyal. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and remember the things that matter.

How exciting traveling to so many different areas, keep enjoying your time in Nashville and so many other places. It seems like the awards where plenty of fun, nice to hear. I hope everything in with your record goes well. The world seems to do alot for you and that is wonderful. Your life needs to keep on doing this and right now for me, it needs to get better. Wow, you sure have been doing a lot! I can’t wait to see the new movie you worked on, I really look forward to it! I’m also looking forward to the new iCarly tomorrow. Just to see you again on TV will be refreshing! I think it’s really cool all the success you’ve been enjoying lately, and I really hope it continues to multiply, but I still really want to meet you one day. I kinda feel like I missed out when you came to my state, Texas when I was sick and all, but I am going to Nashville sometime soon to see one of my best friends and give him a DSi for his birthday, and hopefully I’ll get to see you and maybe spend some time with you while I’m there! I saw the CMA’s as well and I could really tell the unique talent everyone had and just how kind everyone was. Everything you said about Nashville makes me want to go there. I can’t wait to see this feature film you’re going to be in and I’ve honestly seen you in a little clip of Hollywood Homicide. Obviously not a big role but it was really interesting seeing you in that film and so young and so different. Thanks to the Totally Jennette fan site, I have seen many of your performances in many other shows and you are just phenomenal in them. Especially Law & Order, Medium, The Inside, and Strong Medicine. Your acting from when you were younger was so amazing that I find that no other child actor or actress could’ve pulled off such roles like that like you have! I mean, when I saw your performance on Strong Medicine and saw your character being taken away that made me so sad, I actually had tears coming out! No one’s performance has ever made me do that! It just goes to show how amazing you are! I can’t wait to see “The Best Player” and this feature length film you’re talking about. I bet even your younger fans (and much younger fans, haha) will love it.
Off the record when you direct, produce, or write your first movie and it’s in theatres, I will definitely go see it.

Jennette, just a quick note to say hello for my son, Josh, who is your biggest fan here in Birmingham, Alabama. He loves you and loves to hear you sing. If you have a minute go to his website to learn a little more about him. He is a miracle as he was born with a congenital diaphramatic hernia and not expected to live. Two other children in the NICU with him with the same thing did not make it (but you can learn all that from his website). To see him now you’d never know. We would like to know if there is anyway we can get an autographed pic of you. Also, we’d like to see if you are making any appearences near here as we’d like for him to see you. By the way, he will be three in January. And so that you know we think you and the show are great too! We hope you keep making great T.V. and we hope the ICarly gang can keep going even into college. Great! Sounds like your having a fun. Nashville is a wonderful place… Sadly, I wish you’d bop down to Texas again. I love the south, that’s for sure. Both places are absolutely lovely though.
I thought that when you shoot a show you are required to maintain the same look throughout the series. Maybe I’m mistaken. I hope you don’t leave California forever. It’s hard to continue acting when your so far away from the shooting studios. Hope you find a good balance between acting and singing.

Hey Jennette!!! Its nice to see your so busy! You have so much talent its good its being used for both acting and singing. I just read up on what you’ve been doing and I can’t wait to see your new movie with Jerry. Also, I just finished watching iQuit iCarly and i saw a commercial for another movie coming in January, im looking forward to it. I saw on your site you told us about putting our number in the area below our name so i tried, that is the box for the email so i put it after my email and it said it was invalid, i tried just the number and it said the same thing, so i put it in the website seeing as thats the other box under the name box. ***I wanted to thank you for all the work you’ve done with the Cody Waters Foundation, it was really kind of you. My mom has Lupus which is like Cancer but different. The type she has, doesn’t have a cure yet. Even thought I don’t know anyone personally that has cancer I completely support your cause. Some days it’s hard to take, when someone in your family is ill (as you would know.) So I put on one of your songs and it makes me feel a little better.
