Hey guys!
I hope your Christmas was wonderful! Mine was just great! My brother and sister-in-law came down to visit. They live out of state now, so I haven’t seen them in a few months and I’ve missed them terribly. Having them ‘home for the holidays’ was a real treat for the rest of the family.
Having a few days off to just be with my family was a great close to 2009. It’s been an insanely hectic year with tons of new and exciting adventures, but being with my family really made me realize how much I had missed spending time with them!
I’m heading back to Nashville this weekend, and so it begins… the recording of my debut album. The “pre-production” (if you will) has been such a big process – I’ve learned a lot. I wrote many, many songs and heard hundreds more. I went to numerous meetings, sang tons of demos, and listened like I’ve never listened before. I will be sure to keep you guys updated with the whole recording process.
Another exciting way to be kicking off 2010 is ‘Just Jennette’ weekend! I can’t believe I have my very own weekend. I never expected that. Nickelodeon was very kind to do that! ‘Just Jennette’ weekend is Saturday and Sunday, January 9th and 10th! I hope you’ll tune in and watch a brand new episode of iCarly (iWas a Pageant Girl!) on Jan. 9th at 8:00pm (fun tidbit: it’s actually my favorite episode ever! I hope you love it too.) and a brand new episode of True Jackson VP on immediately following iCarly (it was so much fun to shoot and see all my friends in the TJVP crew again!). Then, on Sunday evening, Nickelodeon is airing both of my episodes of Malcolm in the Middle. I think you’ll get a kick out of those – I was 10 years old when I shot the first episode I was in, playing “Daisy” (who Dewey would be if he was a girl) and 12 years old when I shot the second episode, playing “Penelope” (a nerd in Dewey’s special ed class). That’s the lineup! I hope you’ll watch and let me know what you think!
