Hey everyone!
This blog is a tribute to the wonderful DAN SCHNEIDER! He is the creator and writer of iCarly, as well as Zoey 101, Drake and Josh, What I Like About You, The Amanda Show, Kenan and Kel (can I get a “woop woop!” up in here? ha.), All That, Good Burger, and Big Fat Liar. I’m sure you all also know Dan from his popular roles in Head of the Class and Better Off Dead!
Not only is Dan a comedic master-mind in every aspect of the business from acting to producing, he is truly an awesome guy!! He stays true to his word and follows through with whatever he says he’ll do. He has a huge heart and genuinely cares about people. He’s a ridiculously hard-worker and he keeps working until something is the best that it can be! I think all of these things combined are the reason why Dan Schneider is such a big influence in the entertainment industry and I KNOW all of these things combined are the reason why Dan Schneider is such a big influence in my life! So, please - everyone reading this blog, I’m talking to YOU! - post your birthday wishes to Dan here on this blog! Get creative in your b-day wishes! Show me watcha got, kids!!!
I start back to work a week from today, but in my little break I’ve been spending most of my time either in the recording studio or at the ice rink! Recording’s been lots of fun and definitely lots of hard work. And by the way, I know many of you were wondering about this, so I thought I’d let you know… my CD is not produced by Nickelodeon or any branch of Nickelodeon! I’m honored to play “Sam” and be an actor on Nickelodeon, but they are not involved with my CD! This album has honestly been a labor of love. I’ve worked really hard after work, on weekends, during hiatus weeks - basically whenever I can - to put my heart and soul into it. Nothing’s worth doing unless you’re gonna do it 110%, am I right?
As for skating, I got a GREAT new coach named Igor. He’s absolutely awesome!! I’m working with him on- and off-ice! Igor’s going to WORLDS this March, and I am so excited because GUESS WHAT? I get to go watch him there!!! WOOHOO!! I sense a ginormous blog coming up after that day. Don’t you just feel it? haha. Continuing on… when I start back to work, obviously my skating time drops severely, but I am going to make my best effort to get as much practice time as possible! I’ll have to post some more youtube videos of me skating soon!!!
Other than recording and skating, I’ve been working on catching up on fanmail and returning some of my saynow messages. I’ll be visiting CHOC, too! So - as always - that will be a very good experience. It’s the greatest feeling in the world when you make someone smile.

Jennette, you’re like the more active version of me. I say that because I absolutely adore writing and reading (have you read Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld? I can see you playing the protagonist if Hollywood ever got around to adapting it) and baking is my thang. I got Baking Illustrated for Christmas and have been baking up a flour coated storm almost every day. Now you’ve got me contemplating ice skating lessons. My sport of choice has always been croquet and ultimatum frisbee, a game my friends and I created after we got kicked out of ultimate frisbee. It’s where you throw the frisbee and shout out an ultimatum for the catcher to answer. “Ice cream or nice dreams?!?”

Happy birthday Dan! Around here in Holland, the only non-Schneider Live-Action show they put on here is Ned’s Declassified. And it gets dubbed, while your shows get the honor of being officially subbed (which is rare when it comes to kid’s shows :D). Every show by you I watched was at least enjoyable to extremely awesome *coughICARLYcough*, and I really respect the work you do as a director, something I hope to become myself someday.
On a side note, our Dutch Nickelodeon managed to air the Drake & Josh Christmas movie (which was cool) FIVE TIMES during December. At least, I think it was five times. Could’ve been six if I missed one.
